Kevin Kegler: Recent Works Exhibition »

Visual & Performing Arts Center Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Gallery: Professor Kevin Kegler teaches in the Visual and Performing Arts Department at Daemen College. His course work has focused on graphic design and visual communication and he has also taught courses in London, Costa Rica, and the Dominican Republic. He cofounded the faculty/student design group, Design Garage in 2012. Kegler has presented at many national conferences including: Association for Sustainability in Higher Education Annual Conference (AASHE), Association of Science and Technology Centers Annual Conference, Natural Building Colloquium, the Western New York Roundtable on Sustainability, and the Consortium of Innovative Environments in Learning (CIEL). Professor Kegler was a founding partner and principal designer at First Hand Learning, Inc., an organization focused on teaching science through object-based interdisciplinary programs. He was the principal investigator on an educational development grant through the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Kegler was awarded the Alex Osborn Award for Creativity through the Art Directors Club of Buffalo in 2011. This award recognizes individuals who have left an indelible mark on the Western New York creative community. Professor Kegler has been an active studio artist exhibiting paintings, prints, and sculpture internationally and throughout Western New York. Earlier in 2016 his sculpture was shown at the Highline Lofts in New York, New York. Over the past several years, in addition to several regional shows, he has had a solo exhibit in Berlin through the multi-disciplinary venue Zuhause, and was shown at echo Buffalo and “Zukunftsvisionen 13” in Gorlitz, Germany. In 2012, his collective creative work with his brothers was featured in the German magazine Slanted #19, Super Families, veranstaltet ein grosses Familienfest.
