Nicaragua Mission Project: Clothing & Houshold Goods Drive April 9 - Employees & students may drop off items in room B110 starting at 8:30 a.m. If you need assistance with items, student volunteers will be available until 12:30 p.m.
April 10 - 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at the truck in the Getzville Rd. parking lot near the Business Building.
Items needed: Men's, women's, children's light clothing, baby clothes, shoes & boots, picture books, toiletries, linens, towels, light blankets, candles, dishes, pots, pans, non-powered hand tools. Canned goods, rice, beans, cereal, boxed food.

AUDITION NOTICE The Department of Visual and Performing Arts is seeking men (especially) and women for its spring production of MISTERO BUFFO, by Nobel-prize winner Dario Fo.
The show, which despite controversy has played to football stadiums on two continents, explores the role of the buffoon or fool in puncturing hypocrisy in state and church alike.
Dr. Robert Waterhouse is looking for actors with a flair for physical comedy for performances scheduled to coincide with Daemen's Academic Festival in April.

DAEMEN COLLEGE ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP Joan Cooper Stovroff Endowed Scholarship for Future Women Entrepreneurs to assist Daemen College women who are Western New York residents and have post-graduate entrepreneurial plans focused on the Western New York area.
$2,000 Scholarship Opportunity
Application deadline April 1, 2010
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS and SCHOLARSHIP ADMINISTRATION
The scholarship will be awarded to qualified applicants based on the following criteria:
• Recipients will have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
• Pursuing a career as an entrepreneur.
• Daemen female students enrolled in any approved, accredited academic program will be eligible for the award.
• Priority will be given to Western New York residents demonstrating financial need.
• Preference given to juniors but sophomores may also apply.
• Eligible students will submit an essay, not to exceed five pages, describing their post-graduate, entrepreneurial aspirations, with preference being given to plans focused on Western New York.
• Finalists will meet with the donor(s). Donor(s) will then choose the recipient.
• The scholarship will be awarded for junior or senior year tuition expenses.
• Daemen College will request the scholarship recipient to express acceptance and appreciation of the award in writing within six weeks of notification of the award, by correspondence to the Donor's designee.
Please submit all paperwork, including the essay no later then Thursday, April 1, 2010, to Sharlene Buszka, room B210F.
