Student Alumni Ambassadors The Student Alumni Ambassador organization is affiliated with the office of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving. We assist with Alumni and campus functions. At these events, we greet and assist our guests, who typically include Rosary Hill/Daemen College Alumni, friends of the College, families, and current students. We participate in events such as the Distinguished Alumni Dinner, Easter Bunny Brunch, and the Daemen College Golf Classic. We also help plan Family & Homecoming Weekend. Becoming a member of this unique organization will present many great opportunities to build relationships, network, and meet alumni and supporters of the college. Past opportunities included receptions with Spike Lee, Naomi Wolf, Ice-T, Comedian Bobby Collins, Rob Sullivan, Pat Buchanan, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Dave Coulier/“Uncle Joey” from the sitcom Full House. Joining this organization has greatly influenced our lives. Student Alumni Ambassadors has given us many opportunities to interact with alumni. We have also enjoyed meeting notable figures and getting to know many of the original members of the college. 	Laura Chief Student Alumni Ambassador Health Care Studies ’09 My name is Laura and I am a health care studies major from Elmira, NY. I became interested in SAA when I heard of the various events and happenings that the members participated in. SAA allowed me to be more involved on campus while improving on my leadership and people skills. Assisting with the events has allowed me to meet alumni, colleagues and new friends while giving something back to my school in a constructive manner. I am grateful to be the chief this semester and thank the ambassador program for giving me the opportunity.
	Missy Leadership & Development Chair Childhood/Special Education '09 Hi, my name is Melissa but I usually get called Missy. I am from Alexander, New York and will be graduating from Daemen in the Fall of 2009. Upon graduation I will be certified in Childhood, Early Childhood, and Special Education. I am looking forward to being an ambassador because I love meeting new people, especially those who have enjoyed Daemen as much as myself. One of my favorite things about Daemen is it's small, suburban campus and the friendly people I have met here. Daemen also has a large selection of clubs and activities for the size of the school.
	Vanessa Secretary Childhood/Special Education ‘09 My name is Vanessa. I am a Childhood Special Education major. I joined the SAA program to get involved on campus, to increase my social and leadership skills, as well as getting the opportunity to meet and interact with new people. I look forward to communicating with the alumni this year.
	Kyle Fundraising Chair Physical Therapy ‘10/’12 My name is Kyle. I am studying to become a Physical Therapist here at Daemen. The reasons why I joined the Student Alumni Ambassador program was so I could be more involved on campus, meet new people and socialize with others. I am also currently the Daemen College Club Hockey Team's President and a member of the Peer Disciplinary Review Board.
	Chelsea Coordinator Physical Therapy '10 My name is Chelsea and I am a Physical Therapy major from South Wales, NY. I became involved with SAA because I wanted to become more involved in the Daemen community and enhance my leadership skills. I was very involved in high school and I thought that SAA would provide me with the same opportunities in college. So far, I have greatly enjoyed meeting new people and assisting with many of the events on campus.
	Sarah Beth Physical Therapy ‘09/’11 My name is Sarah Beth, and I am a Physical Therapy major from Syracuse, N.Y. What interested me most about this organization were the rare and vast opportunities available. I have had the privilege to meet and work with many students, alumni, faculty, and friends of the school; and I have enjoyed becoming an involved and active member of the Daemen community. Through helping with events, I have realized the importance of alumni support, including the generosity of many who have helped Daemen to become a thriving academic center. I am thankful to the ambassador program for helping me to further develop my leadership skills.
	Jessica Human Resource Management ‘09 My name is Jessica, and I am majoring in Business Administration with specializations in Human Resources and Sport Management. I decided to become involved with the Student Alumni Ambassadors because I have always been interested in the planning process that goes into the events that we put together on campus. I enjoy working with current and former students to help execute some great programs!
	Jessi Psychology '10 My name is Jessica, but everyone calls me Jessi =) I'm a Psychology major, minoring in Philiosophy from Brockport, NY but I recently relocated to Cheektowaga. I became a SAA member because I was interested in being involved on Campus in a productive manner. Being a transfer student, I also wanted to find a way to meet new people and I feel SAA gives me that opportunity.
	Ashley Rose Physical Therapy '12 My name is Ashley Rose and I am a Physical Therapy major. I wanted to become a Student Alumni Ambassador because I love meeting new people and planning events. I look forward to interacting with alumni and getting more involved on campus! (and I love Katie Belliotti)
	Dana Business Administration, Marketing '10 My name is Dana. I'm from Olean, NY and I'm a Business Administration major with specialization in Marketing. The main reason I joined SAA was to get more involved on campus and meet Daemen alums. This is my first year as an ambassador and I absolutely can't wait!
	Carissa Health Care Studies '10 My name is Carissa. I'm majoring in Health Care Studies with a concentration in community health and hope to own a Wellness Center & Spa after I graduate and get my license in Massage Therapy. I'm from Durham, C.T. but Daemen is my home away from home. I joined SAA because I love my college and being a member of SAA gives me the opportunity to show that love to the rest of the Daemen community. I look forward to being a part of SAA and having the chance to experience new things.
	Amy Adolescene Education - Spanish '09 My name is Amy. I am from Hammondsport, NY. I'm an Adolescene Education major specializating in Spanish. I love being a part of this organization. I have met so many wonderful people and I am so glad I joined SAA.
	Melissa Art Education/Painting Minor '10 My name is Melissa and I am an Art Education majot from Ontario, NY. I joined SAA to become more involved with the Daemen community. I am looking forward to meeting new people and helping with the many events that take place on campus.
	Racquel Health Care Studies '09 My name is Racquel and I'm from Brooklyn, NY. I joined the Student Alumni Ambassador Association because I am apart of other organizations on campus and felt it was only right to join. I heard SAA was a lot of fun,you gain more experience within the Daemen community, and you meet incredible people that I thought would be excellent for networking.
	Rachel Secondary Education Hist & Goverment '09 My name is Rachel and I am an Adolescent Education: Social Studies major from Syracuse, NY. I decided to joined the Student Alumni Ambassadors for numerous reasons but probably the most important one was the great experience I would gain from being a part of this organization. I wanted to interact with more people on the Daemen College campus including alumni and staff, as well as get more involved. I strongly believe that being a part of the SAA will not only enhance my college experience, but will also help me grow as a person.
	Lindsey Physical Therapy '13 My name is Lindsey, and I'm from Waterloo, NY. My major is Physical Therapy. I decided to become a part of the Student Alumni Ambassadors because I felt it was a great way to get more involved on campus and also to meet new people. I'm very excited to meet and work with other students, faculty, and alumni!
	Hillary Biochemistry '10 My name is Hillary and I am a biochemistry major from Corning, NY.  I joined the Student Alumni Ambassadors because I enjoy meeting new people and working with others.  I feel that my involvement in the Student Alumni Ambassadors will help me grow as a student and a person.  I am very anxious to become more involved in the Daemen community!
	Alicia Childhood/Special Education '10 My name is Alicia and I am majoring in Childhood and special education from Byron, NY. I became interested in SAA because I really like meeting new people and being involved on campus as well as events. I am also involved with orientation and the L.E.A.D.S. program on campus. I am excited to be a part of SAA to meet new people, enjoy new experiences and have a lot fun.
	Amy Physician Assistant '10 My name is Amy and I am from Rochester, NY. My major is Physician Assistant. I decided to join Student Alumni Ambassadors to meet new people, become more involved on campus, and to help plan events.
